(2 to 3 year olds)
While respecting individual personalities, the focus at this stage of development is on cultivating basic motor coordination, independence, and language development, in a nurturing, social community.
One French-speaking, and one English-speaking teacher welcome twelve to fourteen children in each toddler classroom.
Care is taken to respect different levels of maturity and separation concerns. This allows children to settle into their new environment as smoothly as possible.
These very young children may be experiencing their first contact with others; they are encouraged to share, participate in a co-operative group while make friends.
In all of their activities, whether in the classroom, the art atelier or the gym, they are absorbing both English and French through work, music, stories and conversation.
