The Bilingual Montessori School of Paris - Babylone

The School

atMontessori 172Our Babylone preschool offers a bilingual education of excellence in a setting ideally suited for your children.

It benefits from The Bilingual Montessori School of Paris’ 50 years of experience in bilingualism and active learning through Montessori pedagogy.

Nestled in the 7th arrondissement, our school is located in a beautiful Haussmannian building a few steps from the “Jardin Catherine-Labouré” and “Le Bon Marché”. Both warm and beautiful, our school welcomes children aged 2 to 6 in a protected and comfortable environment. Our cocoon is ideal to guarantee the personal and social development of your children.

The Neighborhood

Our school is located in the Sèvres - Babylone district, which is full of museums and historical monuments such as the “Musée Rodin” or the “Musée Maillol”. In addition to its vast cultural heritage, this chic neighborhood with its beautiful Haussmannian buildings is also a shopping area. In particular, one finds the store “Le Bon Marché” as well as many coffee shops and restaurants.

Although the neighborhood is dynamic, it is also considered one of the safest and quietest areas of Paris since many ministries are located here. Our school is located a few steps from the republican guard and less than 150 meters from the “Jardin Catherine-Labouré”. This 7000 square meter garden has a beautiful playground allowing your children to enjoy a safe place to walk and play.

The Shared Garden

Babylone jardinsIn this children's house, in addition to learning with Montessori materials, your children can garden!

Our school has a shared garden in the beautiful “Jardin Catherine-Labouré”. During certain afternoons, your children can enjoy a moment of sharing in the open air. On the program: we dig, we plant, we have fingers full of earth, we collect leaves... Back in class, we work with the Montessori botany cabinet or the exploration of the life cycle of the plant to learn more about our friends the plants.

Discovery through experimentation!

The Program

With a ratio of one adult for every 8 to 10 children, the school offers very special conditions for learning and development. This support allows the two teachers, one French-speaking with a diploma from the International Montessori Association and the other English-speaking, to accompany your child in his/her individual development. They take the time to observe your child to provide the learning he/she needs, to listen to him/her and to respond to his/her emotional needs.

Our school provides a smooth transition from the world of early childhood to the world of school.

With children staying in the classroom for several years, a relationship of trust is built between the adults and the children, and also between the children. The month of June is only a goodbye: "We will meet again after the summer! This peaceful, long-term construction favors both learning and human relations in the classroom (no time wasted adjusting the relationship with the "new teacher", the new rules at the beginning of the school year).

By combining excellent active teaching, bilingualism and a range of artistic and practical activities, we encourage the development of your child and the blossoming of his/her full potential.

Bilingual Extracurricular Time with Pari-Grandir (Evenings, Wednesdays and Vacations for 3 to 6 year olds)

Our partner Pari-Grandir welcomes your children after school, on Wednesdays and during school vacations. Created in 2011, Pari-Grandir is the first network of bilingual edutainment centers in France. We share the same values: the importance of bilingualism and the priority given to caring for children.

The extracurricular activities organized by Pari-Grandir are open to school children. The Pari-Grandir team, composed of qualified professionals, takes over from our pedagogical teams to welcome your children directly into our premises in small groups.

Each week, families registered with Pari-Grandir receive the following week's program directly by e-mail, allowing them to follow their child's activities.

Every 2 months, families receive a secure link and a temporary password allowing them to view and download the memories of the past period via our dedicated photo site.

During the school vacations, Pari-Grandir becomes a small leisure center. Many cultural and artistic activities are offered, as well as many outings of all kinds.

As for Wednesdays, these extracurricular activities are led by native English and French speakers. Each speaker communicates with your children only in their own language. The learning of English is done in immersion, as much through games as through daily life.
